We are pleased to announce the second meeting of the Research Dialogues series, an initiative of the Business for Society PhD Students aimed at creating a regular space for academic exchange, discussion, and feedback within our research community.
The second seminar will feature Borana Docaj, third-year PhD student of our PhD Programme at the University of Milano-Bicocca, currently visiting at Lund University.
Borana will present her research titled:
"From Acceleration to Independence: An Empirical Validation of a Mechanism-Based Model"
The study investigates how startup accelerators influence ventures’ ability to operate independently after program completion. Drawing on a mechanism-based framework, it examines how capability formation, resource autonomy, and program–venture fit contribute to post-program venture independence. Using survey data from accelerator alumni, the research explores the conditions under which accelerator support translates into lasting entrepreneurial autonomy.
The seminar will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 13:00 to 14:30, in hybrid mode: in person in Room 4096, U7, 4th floor, and online via Webex.

We warmly invite PhD students, faculty members, and colleagues interested in the topic to join us and take part in this second meeting of the Research Dialogues series.
